Frequently Asked Questions

How many people in a Media Training workshop?

As many as you like. We run large group workshops over a full day for any size group, and also just one on one training for individuals who want to improve their public speaking or media skills. Half day workshops ideally have 5 or 6 people for the most practical experience.

How practical are your workshops?

The best way to learn and build confidence is to just do it. All our workshops include realistic and practical exercises with TV interviews on camera and in our radio studio. And we send you digital links of all your performances.

Where are the workshops held?

Anywhere you need us. We travel around Australia and New Zealand with a professional camera operator from offices to farms and factories, but most people love to visit us in the exciting Channel 7 Brisbane studios. We are the only media training team to operate from these impressive studios and give you that unique experience of presenting where many of your favourite shows have been made. Plus we give you a tour of the award winning 7News studio.

What if I’m really nervous?

We have your back. We strongly believe in supporting each person with the right coaching to take the fear out of public speaking or media interviews. We share tips and personal experience on dealing with nerves, building confidence and thinking on your feet without panicking. And we are very relaxed.. we promise this is fun.

Who does the coaching?

We have Australia’s most experienced and respected media training team of journalists and broadcasters. Visit our incredible consulants on our “About Us” page for the full picture, but safe to safe we each have 30+ years of ongoing and current media experience. It’s not just about asking the right questions though, good coaching is at the core of what we do.
