Spencer is a highly experienced and respected radio presenter with 25 years of experience in the radio industry. He spent 24 years at the ABC, including 15 years hosting the top-rating ABC Brisbane breakfast show. In 2005, Spencer was named ABC Local Radio Broadcaster of the Year. He spent 3 years hosting weekends on Radio 4BC and has recently returned to back-up broadcasting on ABC Brisbane

Spencer has been a lecturer and tutor at the University of Southern Queensland, and is now at Griffith University teaching the next generation of radio presenters.
